Senior Years - Arts and Technology Teacher
The role of a Senior Years - Arts and Technology Teacher at Homestead Senior Secondary College is to deliver high-quality education to students in the senior years.
The successful candidate will have a strong passion for teaching arts and technology, and be able to create engaging and inclusive learning environments that cater to the diverse needs of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver curriculum programs to achieve specific student outcomes
* Monitor and assess student learning, and use data to inform teaching practice
* Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community
* Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum programs within the school
Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills
* Experience in responding to student learning needs, and using data to inform teaching practice
* Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community
* Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, including responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership, and human rights
Requirements:
* Provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching
* Graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July 2016, and passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements
Working Arrangements:
Full-time position, approximately 600 students expected in 2025, with a peak enrolment of over 1500 students in the future.
