We are looking for an experienced Education/RTO professional to join our team in Melbourne and play a key role in driving innovation and growth across our course offering. This dynamic role is perfect for a proven leader who has positively impacted student engagement, organisational outcomes and commercial success.
About the position
The Education Manager plays a critical role in the strategic direction of the business, heading up the Education department to lead the planning and execution of major educational projects, developing and facilitating key student support strategies, as well as managing team recruitment and ongoing staff performance.
This position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) commencing ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the management of the Education Department, including recruitment/induction and managing staff performance
2. Lead the planning and execution of major educational projects
3. Oversee the development of strategies that aim to achieve targeted student completion rates and retention rates across qualifications
4. Contribute to the growth of the business by developing forward-thinking initiatives that aim to increase profitability, staff efficiency and student outcomes.
5. Coordinate and implement a continuous improvement process to regularly upgrade resources and assessments
6. Develop, maintain and validate training & assessment strategies
7. Report quality indicators and national VET training data
8. Establish and build on existing industry relationships
9. Manage implementation and improvement of integrations between internal systems
The successful applicant will have:
1. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current)
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading and managing a vocational education team
3. Current Working with Children Check
The following are desirable:
1. Tertiary qualification in Exercise or Sport Science, Education or relevant discipline
2. Certificate III and IV in Fitness
3. 5+ years of experience in coordinating fitness industry training within an RTO
4. Understanding of the SIS Training Package
5. A passion for health, fitness & wellness
