Adecco are currently recruiting for a Field Service Electrician with industrial manufacturing experience to work in a highly reputable manufacturer who specialises in the FMCG manufacturing industry. It is a permanent role and full training is provided on all of the equipment so you can develop a high level of expertise in providing fault finding and diagnosis, maintenance and there is also some installations and commissioning of new equipment. You can be located anywhere in Melbourne as it is a field service role and it is day shift - Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times completing a 38-hour week. It is paying between $58 - $63 per hour base plus 11.5% superannuation, vehicle, fuel & tolls and there is substantial overtime available paid at penalties. Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
1. Install and commission electrical and mechanical production equipment
2. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical production and facility equipment
3. To ensure all electrical and mechanical systems operate in and out of the clients facility in order to support customer service
4. Liaise with clients as the face of the company and explain completed work and best practice use/maintenance
5. Maintain operational excellence via improvement strategies on quality and efficiency
6. Carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance
7. Maintain agreed inventory of Engineering spare parts and tools
8. Perform preventive maintenance programmes as determined by the manufacturer's equipment
9. Respond efficiently to breakdown conditions so as to minimise equipment downtime
Profile
Knowledge & Skill
10. Electrician trade qualification with at least 3 years post trade experience
11. A grade unrestricted electrical licence from an Australian state
12. Strong electrical aptitude is a must and strong mechanical aptitude is desirable
13. Full equipment training is provided
14. Experience with a range of electrical components used in the manufacturing industry
15. Experience in FMCG manufacturing (Desirable but not essential)
16. Computer literacy and demonstrated competence in the use of a CMMS
17. Working at heights experience (desirable)
18. Strong focus on safety at all times
