Your New Role
In this position, you will be responsible for:
* Assessing and analyzing the cost-effectiveness of projects by conducting thorough on-site and desktop assessments to evaluate flood impact and resilient outcomes.
* Communicating effectively with homeowners and licensed contractors to educate them about flood risk, resilient building design, materials, and technical aspects related to flood resilience.
* Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to share insights, promote best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the program.
* Fostering positive and informative relationships with homeowners, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts by sharing knowledge and staying updated on industry trends.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will need:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and stakeholders.
* Experience working within the building industry, either in a trade-based role or design/engineering/quantity surveying/estimating, which is highly desirable.
* Experience in property assessment, estimating, or related fields with a focus on price, quantities, materials, and scope, which is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret plans and resilient building strategies.
* High-level knowledge of building materials and their application.
