This role involves managing the finance team, overseeing budgeting, reporting, and compliance (including BAS and award standards), and optimising financial systems.
Experience within the transport industry will be highly regarded, but it is not essential.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all finance functions across the business units, ensuring team workloads are balanced and optimised.Lead the month-end process, ensuring accurate and timely liability payments and reporting.Manage the company's financial systems (e.g., Netsuite, MYOB), driving efficiency and accuracy.Provide financial advice and insights to managers to improve business performance.Ensure compliance with legislative standards, including awards, allowances, and tax regulations.Actively participate in strategy meetings and reviews, contributing to business improvement initiatives.Plan and prepare tenders, contracts, and rate reviews in collaboration with senior leadership.Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organisational objectives.Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to influence business decisions.Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.Drive and oversee the annual budgeting process and cash flow management.Maintain and enhance internal controls, compliance, and risk management practices.Collaborate with external auditors, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.You will have: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CA qualification preferred.Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance management role.
