About the roleCollaborating closely with our National Engineering Store Development Manager, Operations, Construction, and Landlord stakeholders, the objective of this role is to project manage the end-to-end execution of our Far North Queensland program.
This role will ensure the most cost-effective and compliant solution is successful in its rollout with landlord contributions and mitigation of risks managed while the program is in progress.
This role involves comprehensive project planning, stakeholder engagement, and financial control to ensure the successful delivery of the initiative.
Please note: This position is a 2-year fixed term contract with potential for permanent opportunities post contract completion. This role is based in Melbourne, Victoria.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage the project plan, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, timelines, and budgetary constraints.Coordinate the rollout of HVAC replacement and maintenance improvements across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with broader HVAC strategy.Report on any anomalies relating to the agreed Project plan with recommendations to correct.Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project delivery.Monitor and report on maintenance activity including mould remediation and proactive maintenance reporting program.Seek key stakeholder feedback on operational issues to facilitate continuous improvement.Provide regular agreed governance reporting to senior management team.Represent Coles maintenance on any projects that overlap or may impact project sites.Monitor and report on the sourcing of all capital equipment, ensuring ad hoc activity is managed, costed, and tracked appropriately.Coordinate the upload of stores post work with Coles I.T and City FM service desk and Energy.Track pre and post works on customer experience.Develop and maintain project delivery spreadsheet to meet store priority.Ensure timely coordination with Coles I.T, HVAC BMS integration.About you and your skillsOur ideal candidate will come from a retail setting with demonstrated experience in project and process management, as well as facilities/asset management, and mechanical engineering experience. You will have strong attention to detail and organisational skills, high-level negotiation, influencing, and communication skills, and always be customer-driven and focused. Essential to this role is HVAC building services experience.
