About the role
Moray & Agnew are excited to grow our Commercial and Property team in Cairns with the addition of a new Lawyer. This position will see you working on all aspects of QLD conveyancing files as well as working closely with a Special Counsel as you provide advice and act on a range of business and commercial transactions. Some of the work will include licensing arrangements, franchise agreements, shareholder agreements, supply agreements, terms and conditions, contracts for sale and lease agreements.
This is a busy practice with great opportunities to grow your skills in a number of areas.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to develop your skills under the guidance of an highly experienced mentor, together with the support of an established national mid-tier firm.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have to be a commercial lawyer with at least 1 - 2 years’ post admission experience, ideally with experience in a wide range of conveyancing, commercial transactions and corporate advisory work.
In addition to your strong technical skills you will be highly organised, display strong written and verbal communication and demonstrate an ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
You will be a team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision while displaying the highest standards of professionalism and excellent attention to detail.
Importantly, you will have a strong client focus and be committed to achieving great results and delivering excellent service for your clients.
