Your new role The primary purpose of this role is to spearhead continuous process improvement initiatives within the Technology Operations Centre, Rail Systems, and supporting teams to enhance operational efficiency and reliability. This includes providing interim coverage for the 24x7 Technology Operations Centre Analysts during both planned and unplanned absences, ensuring uninterrupted service excellence.
Key Responsibilities Triage, troubleshoot, and respond to faults within skillset, authorization, and playbooks, or engage additional specialist technical assistance. Record fault details, timelines, investigation results, actions, and effort taken to respond, and root cause in ITSM Toolset. Adopt and deploy log analyses for evidence to support root cause identification. Coordinate fault response with multiple parties, including business stakeholders, technical resources, vendors, and users. This includes contacting the Major Incident Manager for high-impact faults or issues to escalate and seek guidance. When not providing coverage on the main Technology Operations Desk, the Technology Operations Analyst will be improving problem management capabilities and Technology Operations Centre team capabilities. Trigger Problem Management process for recurring issues by soliciting symptoms, workarounds, evidence to identify root cause(s). Develop Knowledge Management processes and continuously evaluate, iterate, and improve documented resolutions. This may include tasks such as analyzing fault trends to identify modes of failures with the intent to prevent future problems. What you'll need to succeed Essential: Demonstrated experience supporting a range of users in mid-to-large-scale technology operations. Proven track record in process improvement and major incident management. ITIL knowledge (incident, problem, and change). Previous ITSM Tool Use (ServiceNow Preferred).
Desirable: Previous resources/mining industry experience, previous experience supporting OT technologies, previous 24/7 support experience, previous experience within IT Asset Management.
