This role will be providing expert advice and guidance across various operational areas, including complex government procurement, IT contracting, litigation and privacy matters. You'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to negotiate contracts, assess risks, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.This role would suit an experienced lawyer who is familiar with Commonwealth Procurement Rules, who is looking for interesting and complex work in a high performing team.Key responsibilities:Offer expert legal advice on general commercial, government procurement, and IT contractsLead negotiation and review of contracts and service level agreementsIdentify and mitigate legal risks related to contracts and privacyDevelop policies and precedents aligned with legal requirementsProvide guidance on regulatory and accountability obligationsConduct training programs to enhance legal compliance awarenessMonitor changes in laws and regulations affecting IT, procurement, and privacyAbout you:You'll have at least 7 years of post-qualification experience in general commercial law, and it is essential you have government procurement experience.
