About the Role
Service Stream’s Utilities Division are currently seeking an experienced HSEQ Business Partner to join our Team. Reporting directly to the HSEQ Operations Manager - Power, you will be responsible for the prevention of injuries and illness by partnering with local business management and workers to maintain a healthy and safe workplace. Based in Ferntree Gully (VIC), this position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate. Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time Location: South Eastern Suburbs, VIC Reporting Line: HSEQ Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing support to our VIC Utilities project teams to ensure our company meets its Safety, Environment, Quality and client obligations
2. Providing specialist HSEQ advice and support to the business
3. Coaching and advising management and workers on meeting their work health and safety duties
4. Supporting management and workers in the implementation of HSEQ policies, systems, programs, and initiatives and meeting local legislative requirements
5. Promoting a safe and positive work culture and role model safety leadership principles
6. Project field work, critical control effectiveness and investigations, verifying HSEQ management plans
7. Assist business management in continually improving the company’s risk management capabilities
About you:
8. Demonstrated experience in an HSEQ role with a strong quality background, highly regarded
9. Working knowledge of Legislation, Standards and Codes and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and AS 4801 standards
10. Prior experience managing Safety, Environment and Quality requirements on major engineering or construction projects, with a strong track record in working effectively with project contractors is highly regarded
11. Experience in auditing, investigation and environmental/quality reporting
12. Excellent communication and people management skills
13. Power, gas, water, heavy industry or other utilities industry experience desirable
14. Relevant qualification in WHS/OH&S, Quality and / or Environment or Engineering/Science
15. Cert IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
