The Role In this pivotal role, will see you tasked with supporting and overseeing the delivery of the engineering elements of complex Water and Wastewater projects, in collaboration with the Project Managers and other stakeholders from the Water and Wastewater sector. This role will have a significant level of autonomy and will require you to:Contribute to and drive a multidisciplinary team to deliver automation solutions.Be the technical lead in the delivery of the engineering elements of projects and quotations.Collaborate with the other disciplines to meet project objectives and milestones.Perform design, development, programming, testing and commissioning of Industrial Control and Automation (SCADA and PLC) systems.Provide quality Engineering services to effectively execute and deliver on Actemium Water Infrastructure Business Unit's strategies, goals, and priorities, and ultimately support the growth and success of all.Engage with stakeholders to deliver fit for purpose solutions for the client and company.Develop, allocate and supervise delivery of the engineering design deliverables (e.g. designs, assessments, drawings, and reports), checking and ensuring the appropriate quality is delivered.Contribute to the professional and technical development of our engineering team to ensure we have the capabilities required to deliver our current and future projects.Assist in the reviews at important junctures of the project to ensure that the output meets the project objectives; andMonitor and report progress against delivery schedules and budgets.The Person You are a highly motivated Senior Control Systems Engineer with extensive experience in the water and wastewater industry. Your technical and commercial expertise is firmly established in this sector, with a strong focus on following client policies and procedures.Extensive experience with Siemens and/or Schneider PLC platforms.Proficient in various SCADA systems, including CitectSCADA, ClearSCADA, System Platform SCADA, and other SCADA and HMI platforms.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms.Capable of producing professional-grade design and test documentation.Highly motivated, organised, and flexible.Positive, personable, and enthusiastic team player.Comprehensive understanding of the technical project life cycleEssential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from an Australian Tertiary Institution (or equivalency recognition by Engineers Australia of a comparable overseas qualification)Minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience in control systems design, programming, and commissioning.Eligible for Membership with Engineers AustraliaConstruction Industry White Card (beneficial) Class C Drivers Licence (QLD)sAbout Us Actemium Water Infrastructure Australia is a highly skilled, experienced, and committed team who provide solutions and services for the industry.
