Health Clerk About the role In this Casual Health Clerk role, you will work Monday to Friday as required. You will be responsible for providing clerical services including maintenance of electronic and hard copy health records, maintaining databases and information management systems, filing and photocopying and ordering stationery. You will also communicate with internal and external customers to obtain patient information as required. The work you undertake will be in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures, Medical-in-Confidence and Staff-in-Confidence standards. About Tindal Tindal Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Tindal, 15km outside Katherine, and 320km south-east of Darwin. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 550 Defence members, surging at regular Air Force exercise periods throughout the year. The health centre provides general medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy and mental health services. It also operates a 10-bed inpatient low dependency day ward. Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1600 Monday – Thursday depending on role requirements, and a half day 7:30 – 13:30 Friday. About you With experience working in a clinical support role, you enjoy knowing your work is contributing to positive health outcomes for patients. You understand the importance of accurate and up-to-date record keeping in a clinical environment and take pride in being responsible for this. To be successful in this role, you will have: The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour. Minimum of 1 year full-time experience in an Administrative role (or part-time equivalent). Demonstrated ability to work in a customer service focused environment (desirable). Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients. You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
