This new role within the P&C function defines and implements the strategic direction for the learning and development function with a focus on technical and compliance training, it leads a team of training and development professionals, partners with executives and managers across departments to understand current and future capability needs, and champions a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
As the Head of Learning you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of L&D professionals responsible for designing and executing training programs and initiatives throughout the organization.
You will Establish robust governance frameworks and record management practices to ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all training activities and authorisations this also includes ensuring compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and industry best practices.
You will be expected to ensure that all training and development activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, maintaining the highest levels of compliance and quality.
Owning Vendor Management including the selection and management of vendor relationships with external training providers and vendors, while working with internal stakeholders to meet the specific needs of their teams.
A key element of this role is the utilisation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technologies to enhance learning delivery, staying informed of the latest trends and advancements in e-learning.
You will establish and define the strategic direction for the Learning and Development function, aligning long-term goals with the company's vision, business strategy and risk profile.
You will own thorough and ongoing assessments of current and future technical and compliance training needs through job analysis, regulatory updates, and collaboration with functional leaders of the organisation.
You will cultivate a culture of continuous learning, emphasising employee experience and outcomes to foster professional growth and development.
You will oversee oversee and manage the Learning & Development budget ensuring optimal resource allocation and maximising return on investment for all active programs.
What should you bring to the role ?
You will have demonstrable experience in a senior Learning & Development role with strategic and operational responsibility, ideally within regulatory environment and understanding of working within a Registered Training Organisation.
You will have demonstrable examples of leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and engage a professional team.
You will possess strong business acumen and the ability to link L&D strategies to business objectives.
You will have In-depth knowledge of L&D methodologies, adult learning principles, and instructional design across both blue & white collar learners.
You will be proficient in using LMS and other educational technologies to enhance the learning experience and be able to translate insights into data-driven decision making.
You will have experience of managing budgets effectively and showcase strong financial acumen in planning and decision making.
