We are located in the historical town of Beaconsfield, a scenic 45 minutes’ drive from Launceston. National Parks, beaches, and historical sites are all within a short drive from the town. Beaconsfield District Health Service is known for its welcoming environment, with strong teamwork and positive attitudes. It provides care to a complex patient cohort, including respite clients, aged care residents, emergency presentations, and sub-acute clients.
The Role:
* As a Health Care Assistant, you will be expected to attend group handover.
* You will assist with shared care of the residents and patients, attending to their hygiene and continence requirements during your shift.
* You will be required to make beds, empty skip bins as needed, and fill cupboards with clean linen.
* You will set up residents/patients for feeds and assist in feeding them as needed.
* You will assist residents/patients to and from the dining room and help with serving meals, drink preparation, and clearing of plates.
* You will assist the resident/patient to get changed and prepared for bed.
* You will take direction from nursing staff.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term, casual position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for 12 months. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $62,486 to $65,119 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
