PRACF is a Queensland Health managed aged care service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and is located in Townsville at the Kirwan campus. (OO2)12.75% employer superannuation contributionOther employment benefits may include: salary sacrificing options, locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs and access to corporate discountsAbout the roleDistribute meals to residents of Parklands residential aged care facility within the food safety program guidelines and maintain relevant record keeping.Participate in preventative maintenance program to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for residents living in the residential aged care facility in accordance with relevant guidelines.Identify areas for improvement and recommend/implement enhancements to existing practices. Contribute to the achievement of continuous Quality Improvement via the relevant aged care standards.Skills and experienceAbility in providing catering cleaning and laundry services to care recipients in an aged care setting adhering to procedures while maintaining a team approach.Ability to carry out duties as a team member and with minimal supervision, prioritising work to ensure deadline is met in a changing work environment where quality is the main focus.Commitment to quality improvement practices through participation in the development, implementation review and maintenance of internal systems, processes, and work practices.Basic understanding of or the ability to acquire knowledge of food safety standards and an understanding of the role quality controls play in health services.Role requirementsAs a Health Care worker in Queensland Health who engages in risk-assessed roles, you must hold a current disability check (Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption) or an NDIS worker screening check, in accordance with Part 5 of the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld).Please refer to the role description for further details.Working with Townsville HHSOur vision is world-class healthcare for northern Queensland.
