Clinical Nurse Consultant - Sectorwide Rehab
Spend 1 day a week consulting with teams across the Tablelands and more! About the Job:
The successful candidate will provide consultative coverage for the Tablelands, Mehi, and Peel sectors. You will be able to support the current clinician acting in the role and add to your experience and knowledge in this space.
Where you will be working:
The successful candidate will participate in the consultation, leadership, research, education, and service planning for rehabilitation services across the Tablelands, Mehi, and Peel sectors. This involves high-level analysis and problem-solving skills to support and improve the rehabilitation journey for patients in these sectors.This position is based in the Armidale Community Health Service.
About you:
The successful candidate will possess the qualifications and experience required of a Clinical Nurse Consultant, with a passion for leadership and rehabilitative services. They will demonstrate the ability to lead and collaborate with other key stakeholders in the design and implementation of continuous improvement activities and models of care for enhanced service provision.
Your support:
The successful candidate will be supported by their line manager who will provide operational guidance. Clinically, they will be supported by senior colleagues and clinical stream networks. Professionally, they will be encouraged and supported to engage in ongoing Clinical Supervision and role-specific education opportunities.
Selection criteria for this role:
1. Postgraduate qualification related to the specified area of specialty or evidence of working towards the same.
2. At least five years post-graduate nursing experience with 3 years in the specified area.
3. Demonstrated ability to communicate clinical concepts and information to non-clinical audiences and provide authoritative advice on clinical issues within the field of expertise
4. Demonstrated advanced analytical and complex problem-solving ability
5. Demonstrated ability to develop a range of solutions based on specialist expert knowledge
6. Demonstrated capacity to evaluate current clinical practice within the area of specialty and recommend interventions that mitigate risk and minimise the impact on the organization.
7. Demonstrated highly developed verbal and written communication skills necessary for documenting and promoting current research findings and providing clinical service information directly to patients/clients.
Information for Applicants:
8. All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (AIR Immunisation History Statement) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
9. Acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement (IHS), or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate, or AIR COVID-19 and Influenza IHS. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.?
