About the role.
As a General Hand you'll support both operational support and timber production. Your primary focus will be on site safety and cleanliness across the Drymill and Kombi areas, while also assisting other departments as needed. Your responsibilities will include:
* Performing routine cleaning tasks (sweeping, dusting, etc.)
* Stacking timber into packs
* Grading of timber
* Cutting timber lengths and using a control panel to lower timber packs
* Identifying and addressing potential safety hazards
* Supporting other departments as required
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Experience working in an industrial setting or production facility
* Solid understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures
* Capability to perform lifting tasks up to 15kg
* A strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
* Be fit and healthy for physical work.
