About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for our Mount Arthur South site in the picturesque Hunter Valley Region. Reporting directly to the Planning Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in planning and coordinating short to medium-term maintenance activities. This role will focus on either Light Vehicles, Ancillary equipment, or Off-Highway Trucks, depending on your individual skill set.
Some of your duties will include:
1. Planning and scheduling short to medium term maintenance for either Light Vehicles, Ancillary equipment or Off-Highway Trucks adhering to all Thiess Maintenance and planning procedures.
2. Initiating and monitoring the purchasing and logistics process to ensure parts, equipment, resources, and tooling are available when required.
3. Monitor the condition and organise the repair of related assets, Heavy Equipment, Ancillary and Light Vehicles.
4. Develop weekly-agreed maintenance plans using equipment strategies to facilitate maximum production and minimize downtime and costs to meet plant availability and reliability targets.
5. Ensuring all Maintenance and Statutory information stored in the CMMS is detailed, accurate and current.
6. Timely communication of any foreseeable disruptions to planned events.
7. Actively engaging with mining operations team to ensure plans are aligned with production objectives.
8. Ensure that all work completed is carried out as per Thiess and Client approved Standards, Process and Procedures in accordance with company procurement policy.
About You
9. Relevant Maintenance Planning Qualifications
10. Mechanical Trade or experience in a prior planning role
11. Maintenance management diploma or Mechanical Engineering qualification are advantageous.
12. Maintenance planning experience with Shutdowns/ Service days in a mobile plant environment.
13. Experience in Maintenance systems JDE, SAP or similar highly regarded.
14. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
15. Order 43 (desirable)
16. Strong planning and organisational skills
17. Time management and the ability to prioritising tasks and meet deadlines.
18. The ability to work harmoniously with other people of various backgrounds.
19. Problem solving – identifying and finding a solution autonomously.
20. Excellent Communication skills – both written and verbal
21. Current Driver’s Licence
