In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Fund Accounting (unit pricing) teams, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery. in this leadership role, you will oversee the team’s performance, provide strategic guidance, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive improvements and meet client needs. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Fund Accounting (unit pricing) business groups. Conduct performance management and career development for staff, providing training and input for staffing and disciplinary actions. Develop and set periodic goals, prioritize work, and monitor activities to ensure accurate and timely completion. Contribute to the budget management process. Maintain risk management and compliance programs within the assigned group. Operate independently with a deep understanding of business unit functions. As a subject matter expert, provide high-level consulting and leadership to the team and partners. Oversee large, cross-functional, and technically challenging activities. Balance operational execution with the strategic direction of business activities. Interact with various committees and management to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Develop and implement programs to improve efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness within functional areas. Provide leadership, foster teamwork, and create an environment that encourages employee participation and communication. Monitor and manage the risk profile of the Fund Accounting business to ensure it aligns with the firm’s risk appetite. Your Knowledge/Skills: Strong technical knowledge of Australian Fund Accounting operational processes, business controls, and technical system specifics. Proven ability to manage internal and client relationships effectively. Strong leadership and organizational skills to set unit goals and manage resources. Ability to apply broad industry knowledge and commercial awareness to drive financial performance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. In-depth knowledge of functional and industry-specific processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience: Experience in leading teams through subordinate managers and contributing to long-term functional/operational strategy. Proven track record in developing and aligning annual business plans. Extensive experience in the financial services sector, with progressively senior roles. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Well-developed leadership and management skills, including coaching and counselling.
