An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and visionary Chief Technology and Transformation Officer (CTTO) to join an organisation dedicated to green solutions and environmental sustainability based in Melbourne's northern suburbs. This is a pivotal role in driving transformation, enabling data-informed decision-making, and enhancing operational efficiency to support a greener future.
As the CTTO, you’ll lead the technology transformation agenda, growing the technology team from an initial 2-3 people to a robust group of 10+ specialists in year 1. Strong technical knowledge coupled with experience scaling businesses is essential to success in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technology Team Building: Expand and develop a high-performing tech team to support digital transformation.
2. Transformation Leadership: Champion a broader technology uplift across the organisation, positioning technology as a strategic asset in the green industry.
3. Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish systems that support informed decision-making by leveraging data insights.
4. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate the commercial and environmental benefits of various technology solutions to both technology and business stakeholders.
5. Vendor Management: Manage and negotiate with technology vendors, ensuring value and alignment with transformation goals.
6. Project Oversight: Oversee and coordinate project interdependencies, programmes, and schedules to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
7. Enterprise-Wide Technology Integration: Demonstrate success in selecting, implementing, and integrating enterprise-wide technologies, such as ERP and CRM systems, to enhance organisational efficiency and collaboration.
Key Selection Criteria:

1. Experience in scaling up a tech team, leading transformation execution, and overseeing technology in BAU & Operations, including Data & AI, Development & Ops, Architecture, Business Change Projects and Cyber/Governance (10-15 pax).
2. Experience in logistics, supply chain or industrial setting (advantageous but not a prerequisite).
3. Outstanding leadership and communication capability at the C suite level; communicating benefits and ROI on technological / labour investments, while conveying a digestible narrative for business leaders.
4. Demonstrable success in selecting, implementing and integrating enterprise-wide technologies (ERP / CRM etc).
5. Demonstrable experience managing budgets - BAU and transformation circa $5M AUD +.
