Our client, a national construction company, is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to join them on location in Hobart to be a part of a $130m construction project to commence in January 2025

About You
3. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a HSE Advisor (or similar role) in the Construction industry.
4. Cert IV in Workplace, Health & Safety (or similar)
5. Cert IV – Trainer and Assessor (desirable)
6. Current First Aid Certificate and CPR essential.
7. Valid class C licence essential.
8. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
9. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership and problem solving skills.
10. Excellent administration and computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office
About the Role
11. HSE - Achieve the highest Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards possible. Provide leadership and continuous improvement on employee and contractor attitudes towards safety. Strive to eliminate injuries and incidents on the project.
12. Program - Ensure adequate time is allowed in the program for safe work practices.
13. Quality and Systems - Successfully implement the Company’s Management Systems, Project Management Plans, and initiatives.
14. Human Resources - Show leadership in safety culture.
15. Subcontractor Management - Ensure subcontractors complete their works with a focus on HSE.
16. Client Relations - Tangibly demonstrate the company’s safety culture and performance to the client’s onsite representative where applicable.
