About the role:
Contribute to the effective development, management and delivery of professional work health, safety, return to work and wellbeing and rehabilitation services provided by Workforce Safety and Wellbeing; while effectively and efficiently inform and support the relevant Senior Managers and staff responses and strategies.
The position implements, reviews and reports on work health, safety, wellbeing, and rehabilitation and return to work policies, guidelines, procedures and networks consistent with Health Service policy. The role is responsible for the review, implementation and coordination of the safety management system and rehabilitation and return to work services for CQ Health.
About you:
* While not mandatory, qualifications in work health and safety or injury management will be well regarded.
* High level of knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply the provisions of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and associated acts, regulations, policies and standards.
* Demonstrated skill in conducting audits, investigating accidents and dangerous events to identify risks and causative factors, and make recommendations to control risks in compliance with the legislation.
* Demonstrated ability to apply injury management practices and strategies to facilitate appropriate outcomes for injured and ill employees that are in line with best practice case management and legislative standards for rehabilitation.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $131,052 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $53.24 - $57.92 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
