New vacancy for an experienced Allied Health Manager to join this Northern Western Australia community. You will provide support and management to a team of 20 allied health clinicians.
The Pilbara is WA’s second most northern region, defined by the Indian Ocean to the west and the Northern Territory border to the east. The Kimberley Region lies to its north across the Great Sandy Desert and the Pilbara’s southern reaches border the Midwest and Goldfields regions. The region covers a total area of 507,896sq km (including off shore islands). Most of the inhabitants are located in the western third, whereas the eastern third is largely desert with few inhabitants. Today the Pilbara economy is crucial to the State, providing 2 of the State’s largest export revenue earners – iron ore and liquefied natural gas.
This role requires experience in:
* Contract and service management
* Primary health programme planning
* Human resource management
The salary range is HSO Level G8 $124,516 - $128,795 per annum + super.

To be considered, you will have:
* Demonstrated management/leadership skills including preparation of strategic and operational planning, financial and staff management, and quality judgement.
* Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate primary health programs.
* Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain effect relationships with other agencies and stakeholders in managing primary health programs.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a multi-disciplinary team in rural / remote areas.
* Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery.
* Demonstrated superior verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, conflict resolution and facilitation.
* Demonstrated knowledge of cultural issues and social determinants particularly relating to Aboriginal health.
