This imposes the need to have a full-time Tax Specialist, who is a dedicated and motivated tax professional with strong/solid background, relevant appropriate experience and personal growth objectives. His/Her primary responsibility is to create and preserve value by minimizing our tax liabilities while complying with all tax/statutory requirements.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESTax CompliancePrepare and/or review statutory tax (CIT, TP, GST, FBT, WHT, payroll tax) compliance as well as internal tax reporting schedules (DTA, tax provisions, ETR, cash tax flow budget), set and supervise appropriate tax controls in line with Capgemini operating framework for Australia/NZ region.Support CAR, liaise with ATO, NZ IRD and other regulatory bodies when required.Support accounting team to finalize audited accounts.Support to OperationsAdvise the business on tax planning opportunities, structure deals/proposals, ensure tax consequences are understood and correctly factored into the overall evaluations.Analyze PE and other cross border tax issues, assist in developing tax and cost effective planning strategies. Use of tax treaties and provide support regarding mobility tax matters. Communicate, explain and promote the tax strategy and tax planning methodologies to relevant stakeholders.Execute Tax StrategyUnderstand the business, analyze problems and challenges, quantify tax exposure.Follow external tax developments and provide proactive advice on possible implications for Capgemini and translate this into relevant elements of the tax strategy.Collaborate with other affiliates in analyzing tax implications of transactions and current operations for financial reporting and tax compliance purposes.Partner with other teams/functions in legal entity rationalization projects, restructuring and integration.
