As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH collaborates with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.The Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine provides a comprehensive range of general and specialist clinical anaesthesia services including trauma, paediatric surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, vascular and obstetrics specialities. Anaesthesia services are also provided for Interventional Cardiology, Endoscopy Unit and Medical Imaging Department including Interventional Radiology, CT/MRI and PET scan.
