Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll provide exceptional clinical care to participants and manage data collection for concurrent research studies. For more information, please visit us online: Thompson Institute You will contribute towards the Thompson Institute’s vision of being a centre for excellence in PTSD research integrating mental health and neurological research to prevent and/or successfully treat trauma related mental health conditions; take a leadership role in the clinical coordination and administration of mental health and neuro-science research by providing nursing and clinical research expertise as part of the research team conducting clinical trials at the PTSD Clinic in the National PTSD Research Centre; and provide information, support and encouragement to study participants and assist in undertaking physical and psychological assessments for a range of research projects. About you You are a highly organised and resourceful professional with excellent troubleshooting skills, enabling you to prioritise conflicting demands and meet deadlines with ease. Your high-quality written and verbal communication, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills, allows you to engage professionally with a diverse range of people. You will possess: Completion of a degree in nursing and current unrestricted nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) combined with experience in working in a mental health setting; The ability to manage clients in an outpatient setting, exercise sound judgement, and make appropriate referrals in consultation with medical staff as required; High level computing skills including experience with databases, clinical trial electronic data entry, word processing and spreadsheets; Knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulations and a sound understanding of privacy principals governing health information; and Previous experience as a clinical trial coordinator and/or mental health nurse will be highly regarded.
