Role Overview: Our client is looking to hire a driven sales professional (BDM) to join their team in the South East Gippsland region.
This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a passion for building strong relationships in the rural sector.
The primary responsibility will be to drive new business growth and increase sales volume through relationship-building with farmers, targeting key agricultural markets.
This position is highly autonomous, with 80% of the time spent on the road, visiting clients, and managing long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute business development strategies for the South East Gippsland region.
Focus on acquiring new clients and growing existing accounts in the rural sector.
Build and maintain relationships with farmers and agricultural businesses, ranging from small operations to large multi-million-dollar farms.
Use CRM (SAP) to track sales activities and manage customer relationships.
Skills and Attributes: Proven experience in sales and business development, specifically in the agricultural or rural sector.
Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships, particularly with farmers.
Resilient, creative, and able to think outside the box to succeed in a competitive market.
Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse client base.
Experience with sales targets and a focus on achieving volume-based KPIs.
