Our client is one of the largest family farming groups in South Australia and New South Wales. They are currently on the lookout for multiple experienced Heavy Diesel and Motor Mechanics to join their successful team in South Australia. The role will include assisting the workshop with mechanical repairs on all brands of vehicles and machinery. Duties & Responsibilities The Heavy Diesel and Motor Mechanic will be responsible for diagnostic and repair work on both heavy and light vehicles. Key Responsibilities Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules (including oil changes, transmission fluids, air filters, tire changes etc.) Identify, test and repair different types of mechanical and electrical failures on vehicle engines and machinery. Fault diagnostics and testing parts. Performing repairs and replacing defective worn parts. Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts. Reassembling engines and parts after repair. Qualifications Required Experience within a similar role. Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent). At least 3 years of full-time experience. Have a good eye for detail. Must have intermediate or above computer skills. Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to comply with all OHS policies and procedures. Be motivated and able to achieve targets. An attractive remuneration will be based upon applicant's experience.
