This is a 24 month fixed term contract.Some of the accountabilities include but are not limited to:Maintain or work towards RPEQ status, by providing engineering consultancy services, undertaking detailed calculations and analysis, and preparing complex engineering reports and technical documents in accordance with the requirements of the Professional Engineers Act.Delivery of product development services including specification, conceptual design, concept and solution testing, development of EQL standards and frameworks, and preparation of estimates completed to assigned scope, on time and within budget.Delivery of designs including technical sketches, drafting, configurations, staging, Inspection and Test Planning, and preparation of estimates for assigned projects, completed to the agreed scope, on time, within budget, and in accordance with the design framework, standards and accepted practices.Delivery of construction support including network management system updates and commissioning for assigned projects, completed to the agreed scope, on time, within budget, and in accordance with the testing and commissioning framework, standards and accepted practices.Delivery of operational support and maintenance activities completed to the agreed scope, on time, within budget, and in accordance with the testing and commissioning frameworks, standards and accepted practices.Focused on achieving successful outcomes for customers through coordinating design delivery, monitoring design budgets and quality, applying safety and delivery risk management, and assisting in the development of safe, efficient and effective solutions, across an allocated program of work.Demonstrate a personal commitment to health, safety and environment and support a diverse and inclusive workplace.Comply with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and practices.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering, (or relevant equivalent qualification) that meets the qualification requirements to become a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ).Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ).Knowledge, Skills and Ability:In depth knowledge and demonstrated experience in the design principles and practices for indoor and outdoor telecommunications structures and equipment design, including the specification, application of electrical and radio frequency clearances, interconnection and operation of telecommunications structures and equipment, with demonstrated knowledge of the associated earthing, electrical, civil and structural requirements.In depth knowledge and demonstrated experience in the design principles and practices of telecommunications systems design, including the application and specification of telecommunications systems to support commercial services, metering, and remote access, with a sound knowledge of the associated Electrical requirements.In depth knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of CAD software and applications for the production of detailed design, models, intelligent design drawings, legacy drawings, management of design and engineering data, including the graphical representation of telecommunications designs to applicable standards and design documentation workflows, control processes and associated document management systems.In depth knowledge and demonstrated experience in telecommunications and electrical engineering as it applies to Communications Systems, with a sound knowledge of the associated SCADA, Powerstation, Substation and Civil/Structural requirements.How to ApplyTo apply for this exciting opportunity, please click the BEGIN icon on this page to commence your application.
