Job Expectations A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Program Manager, reporting to the General Manager Fixed Line. A bit about your role The Program Manager’s role is to provide strategic and operational support for delivering programs or projects within agreed timelines and budgets, aligning with customer expectations. This includes planning and managing programs to achieve nbn’s objectives, performing end-to-end program planning and management, and establishing governance to identify and mitigate risks. The Program Manager also provides strategic and operational advice to stakeholders, enhancing capabilities and engagement throughout the program lifecycle. Additionally, the Program Manager contributes to the PMO leadership team, managing continuous improvement activities and collaborating with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities. They work with the PMO leadership team to develop pipelines, frameworks, and practices in line with nbn corporate best practices. The role involves monitoring and reporting on delivery partner performance, ensuring high-quality insights and guidance, and aligning performance with strategic direction and business outcomes. A bit about you If this role suits you, you likely have experience in program management within a technology-dependent enterprise. You have a deep understanding of project concepts and tools, with significant experience managing complex business projects for large service providers, utilities, and government customers, ideally in the telecommunications sector. Your experience in change management and knowledge of the product development lifecycle are essential. You have a commercial outlook with experience in end-to-end planning and management of large telecommunications programs. Strong people management skills are crucial, with the ability to manage virtual teams and establish senior management relationships. Proven communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills are required. Additionally, you have hands-on experience in contract and supplier management, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and commercial acumen. The ability to contribute to program management standards and communicate effectively with internal teams and executive committees is essential.
