Description DNV is looking to hire a Senior Power System Engineer to join our team in Australia. Critical Attributes Demonstrated success in large scale renewable connections, registration and commissioning according to the Australian National Electricity Rules. Positive problem-solving mentality and great communication skills. Proficiency with power system analysis tools - PSS®E, PSCAD, PowerFactory and Python. Key responsibilities and experience relevant for the role. Bachelor of electrical engineering / power systems (Masters viewed favourably). 7 years of industry experience, with Australian work experience viewed favourably. Fundamental knowledge of power electronics control systems and experience working within an OEM is considered an advantage. Ability to work independently to solve complex tasks. Good communication skills and experience in building relationships with clients. Proficient in writing technical reports and presenting to the client. Familiarity with applicable standards, i.e. IEC, IEEE. Great interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multidisciplinary environment. Value Add Experience working in a transmission system operator considered an advantage.
