As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll be responsible for providing support to the Financial Accountant and Senior Financial Accountant in the preparation of financial accounting data, reports and reconciliations. You will be responsible for a number of accounting functions including general ledger and bank reconciliations, raising of invoices, maintaining and operating fixed asset and prepayment registers and other tasks as required.Day to day, you'll:Assist in the preparation and delivery of month and year end financial accounting and reporting and all other statutory accounts and annual returns.Prepare accurate and timely reconciliations, with supportive documentation, for monthly and year end close.Prepare documentation to support the funding of internal and external payments.Coordinate the day-to-day accounts receivable function.Maintain and run depreciation of end of month fixed assets.Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.Identify areas of improvements / opportunities for increased efficiencies within the function.Investigate and resolve customer / stakeholder queries.Assist on organisational projects and provision of ad-hoc analysis as required.Maintain relevant policies, processes and procedures as required.This role is a permanent opportunity.About youIt goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills.
