The Role Reporting to the Regional Safety, Sustainability & Quality Manager, you will be an important part of the national safety team and be the on-ground safety representative for the NSOOS rehabilitation project. The Northern Suburbs Ocean Outfall Sewer (NSOOS), is an important part of Sydney’s wastewater network; a 28km-long major wastewater system which services 1.7 million people from Sydney’s Western and Northern suburbs. In fact, the NSOOS collects around 25% of Sydney’s total wastewater each day What we need from you as the WHS Advisor is responsibility for all safety legislation, policies and procedures on this project site. We need you to support the project team to deliver a safe work environment and promote a strong safety culture by identifying hazards, implementing controls, and monitoring safety performance. To Be Successful Certificate IV in OHS/WHS or equivalent, Construction Induction Card, and ICAM Investigations; Proven ability to apply WHS legislative due diligence and risk management principles into business and high-risk environments; Demonstrated ability to lead safety change through influencing, coaching, building, and maintaining collaborative relationships; Experience in the delivery of HSE training programs in a high-risk field like construction, mining, infrastructure, heavy manufacturing or related field; and Ability to be the sole safety supervisor therefore, you will know how to self-manage safety priorities and work autonomously to address safety outcomes.
