Clinical Nurse Consultant – Infection Prevention & ControlOrange Health Service
About the roleThe Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) in Infection Prevention and Control will support and assist managers of Orange Health Service to implement and evaluate facility-wide infection control, management of occupational exposures and provide and monitor staff health compliance. The CNC is responsible for providing education and best practice guidelines for the management of all hospital functions related to surveillance, prevention, and control of Hospital Associated Infections (HAIs) including immunisation programs.With a focus on innovative models of care, Orange Health Service is the largest rural hospital in New South Wales and is the regional teaching, referral and trauma centre for the Central West. Redeveloped in 2011 on the grounds of Bloomfield Campus, the 520 bed state-of-the-art facility has a 200 bed general hospital with five operating suites and 60 specialised treatment areas.
