Role Description
The successful Endpoint Support Engineer candidate will have a very strong technical foundation enhanced by a clear devotion to serving and satisfying customers. This position is a core member of the world-wide Customer Success Technical Support Organization, which is tasked with customer delivery, including triage and support of customer cases. The Endpoint Support Engineer focuses mainly on issues related to interoperability with other security solutions on endpoints. Team members also work closely with each other and cross-functionally.
What You Will Do:
1. Excel at working directly with customers to plan, implement, and deploy on production deployments.
2. Use a systematic approach to proficiently troubleshoot, identify problems, and resolve technical issues requiring understanding of Windows, macOS and Linux endpoints, including kernel level understanding on Windows.
3. Conduct basic training of the DTEX UI, including end-user and admin features as appropriate, to customers.
4. Duplicate issues (individually or with QA) to identify bugs, interoperability issues, feature enhancements, and workarounds.
5. Work well individually, as well as in teams that may include members from Sales and Engineering, in addition to Customer Success colleagues.
6. Maintain test environment to stay up to date with the new product features and to validate procedures prior to use on customer systems.
7. Experience working with or in large, complex enterprise, financial or government environments.
8. Experience in security, operations, project or account management, system administration.
9. We require in person interview and onsite presence during onboarding.
Qualifications:
1. 3+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing, problem-solving role.
2. 2+ years as an L2 Technical Support Engineer or Endpoint Administrator.
3. Strong Windows knowledge, including networking, performance, and security domains.
4. Knowledge of macOS and Linux OS distributions including RHEL, CentOS, Alma Linux and others as required.
5. Excellent time management skills and strong sense of urgency.
6. Deep understanding of Windows desktop and server environments, including administration and endpoint application troubleshooting techniques.
7. Knowledge of deployment tools including InTune, SCCM, Group Policy, JAMF and others.
8. Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, both internally and externally.
9. Security domain knowledge.
10. BS / MS Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
11. Technical support experience strongly preferred.
12. Experience working in different server environments, e.g. virtual machines, AWS environment, physical servers.
