Every staff member has a Desire Statement and professional development plan which assists us in helping therapists achieve their career goals.We have a strong mentoring and supervision model which can vary from weekly to monthly or 6 weekly supervision depending on clinicians experience.We are committed to ongoing professional development for our team and recognise the importance of keeping up to date with the latest research and trainings.We complete internal professional development days, support includes additional professional development leave for staff to complete external training.About the role:Our Speech Pathologist will work autonomously but will also work closely with and be supported by all members of our experienced interdisciplinary team to provide speech and language input for our children, their families and support networks.Our flexible supervision and mentoring structure means this position would be great for a New Graduate just starting their career - we have an intensive New Graduate mentoring programme, or an experienced Clinician wanting to further their career in paediatrics.Develop and implement individualized client centred, family focussed intervention plans.Work collaboratively with children and/or parents/caregivers to achieve functional outcomes.Monitor client's progress throughout intervention, reviewing outcomes and modifying intervention program as required.Complete school and home visits based on the need of individual client, attend Case Conferences and school meetings as required.Facilitate group programmes with other interdisciplinary team members.Opportunity to provide professional development training for parents, teachers and other health professionals.Experience & Qualifications:Bachelor of Science - Speech Pathology.Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.Current Western Australian Drivers License and Working with Children.Position can be tailored to a candidate with experience or a new graduate.Experience working across a range of developmental, behavioural and medical conditions including practical experience with global developmental delay and children on the autism spectrum (desirable).Desire to work from a client centred family focussed model.Strong time management and organisation skills.High level of verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem solving skills.Ability to apply learned knowledge.Ability to critically analyse information.Willingness, ability and desire to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.Dynamic and enthusiastic with a passion for working with kids and their families.Keen to get in and have fun!About you:Our ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in and experience working with children and their families – particularly with children on the Autism spectrum or with Global Developmental Delay.They would be enthusiastic and hard working, organised and work in a way that displays our core values of always learning, genuine care, practical functional focus of 'keeping it real' and working together throughout their daily activities.What's on offer:A chance to live in the beautiful South West!
