The Role
As a Financial Administrator, you’ll take ownership of key financial functions while contributing to strategic planning and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role is perfect for a self-motivated, detail-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with management to develop and oversee budgets that drive business efficiency and growth.
* Prepare monthly financial statements, including income and balance sheets, and provide actionable insights into the company’s financial performance.
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
* Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
* Process payroll and manage BAS, IAS, and tax obligations.
* Support internal audits, maintain accurate records, and provide general administrative assistance such as ordering office supplies and sorting mail.
* Maintain strong supplier relationships, resolve invoice discrepancies, and ensure vendor records are accurate.
* Prepare monthly sales reports and contribute to annual budgeting and financial planning.
* Ensure tenant public liability insurance documentation is current and compliant.
* Assist the finance team with ad hoc projects and provide support across operations.
About You
* Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Experience: 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally in the construction or trades sector.
* Skills: Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Familiarity with Employment Hero Payroll is a bonus.
* Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy.
* Communication: Effective collaborator and communicator who builds strong professional relationships.
