Our services create intentional avenues for young people to explore opportunities, build support networks, and access, participate and contribute to their communities. Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment, and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.About the role We are seeking a values-driven and proactive After Hours Youth Support Worker to provide professional and consistent support to young men and women who are homeless or at risk of experiencing homelessness.Reporting to the After Hours Client Services Coordinator, this is a part-time (33.25hr/wk) position based in Shepparton, Victoria. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 3.You will successfully Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all residents residing within the refuge setting. Support the case management team in the ongoing implementation of case management plans. Work in a manner consistent to the expectations of the Journey to Independence Model and that follows the framework of a Psychologically Informed Environment.Assist residents to manage and maintain individual and shared living spaces. Provide informal support to all clients of the program including outreach clients residing in the community. You will have A minimum diploma level qualification in community services, social services, or related field.A paid Victoria Working with Children check. A current Driver License.Relevant experience in a social service environment preferably the youth sector.
