Up to $15,900 p.a. on every day expenses (such as mortgage payments, rent, groceries, bills and insurance) plus up to $2,649 p.a. on meal/entertainment benefits.For more information on salary sacrifice and what that might look like for you, Click here.The importance of this roleThe Senior Personal Care Worker is responsible for providing direct care to residents, while also assisting as a senior member of the care team to provide guidance and direction to other Personal Care Workers and Trainees.In any one day you will be attending to the Medication Round, maybe supporting a new staff member on their buddy days, attending to a manual handling competency and supporting the team on shift with the daily care delivery.In this role you will;Coordinate the daily tasks and workloads of Personal Care Workers; conduct or facilitate buddy shifts to instruct and support new Personal Care Workers.Ensure the provision of personal care and physical and emotional support to residents who require assistance with daily living, including e.g. mobility assistance to and from activities, meals, social outings and clinical care; provide medication assistance to residents.Participate in the development and review of resident care plans; complete charting and report any observed changes to resident health to the Registered Nurse/Service Manager; ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate to facilitate ongoing planning and provision of care for residents, including reporting of incidents.Maintain the personal dignity and privacy of all residents, their representatives and staff, and ensure that all interaction with residents and their representatives are treated confidentially.Support and assist in the provision of a comfortable, safe and secure environment.Undertake food handling, preparation, cooking, cleaning, distribution and serving of meals to residents.Provide support to and undertake and complete tasks as delegated by Registered Nurses.Perform position responsibilities in accordance with the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care.The Senior Personal Care Worker contributes as an integral member of the Seniors Living group and supports activities aligned with the strategic direction of and consistent with the mission and values of Churches of Christ.Essential Certificates and Skills you will require;Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.Completion of the following units of competency: HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication.Previous experience undertaking medication assistance as a Personal Care Worker within aged care.To apply for this position please click the Apply Button.
