It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.Our Vision:Representing the aspirations and interests of our diverse communities, we are dedicated to keeping Yarnangu strong on Country.The Opportunity:This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to join the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group as an Aged Care Registered Nurse, with a variety of positions available, including permanent and relief roles.Working in the heart of the Ngaanyatjarra Lands in WA, you will be at the forefront of delivering essential health services significantly contributing to the well-being and health of the elderly Yarnangu people. Aged Care is an 18-bed Residential Aged Care facility within Wanarn community.In this role you will be responsible for providing direct care to the consumers who reside within the Aged Care facility and will have the chance to engage deeply with a vibrant and culturally rich community, while addressing Aged Care needs and promoting a holistic approach to health care.This position offers the chance to make a tangible impact in a remote and dynamic environment, fostering both personal and professional growth in a supportive and innovative organisation dedicated to preserving the Yarnangu culture.About You:You are a dedicated and experienced Aged Care Registered Nurse with a passion for working in diverse and remote settings. With a minimum of 3 years' experience in similar environments, you bring a wealth of knowledge and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality health care. Your current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse reflects your commitment to professional standards.You are a dedicated professional with experience in assisting aged residents in meeting their daily living needs, ensuring their comfort, privacy, dignity, and preferences are respected in a culturally appropriate manner. You promote independence, communication, and social interaction among residents while supporting their rights, interests, cultural and spiritual needs in a non-judgmental way. You also initiate and coordinate the care of patients with complex health problems, ensuring all work is conducted ethically within the NHS framework and in accordance with aged care standards. You are experienced in responding to consumer assistance requests promptly and encourage the development of relationships that foster a harmonious community environment.
