What are we looking for?
Our Work + Road team is growing, and we are now seeking a Law Clerk to join our Workers Compensation team in Newcastle.
As a valued member of this team, you will help support our Lawyers as they advance claims on behalf of our clients who sustained an injury at work.
This is a full time opportunity and this role will offer flexible work arrangements, a 1:1 working partnership supporting a lawyer within a very busy practice.
Your energy and drive will be integral in achieving successful outcomes along with your positive approach to your work.
In this role you will assist the team in managing and progressing abuse law matters, as you review reports and files and prepare draft legal correspondence.
Some of the key responsibilities will include: Review, analyse and summarise documentation Preparing legal correspondence, court documents and briefs when required Ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations Working closely with the legal teams to advance legal matters for clients What will you bring?
Ideally you will have the following: A keen interest in personal injury law, either as a current law student or similar.
Exposure to plaintiff personal injury practice (highly desirable) A natural passion for helping people and high level of empathy Exceptional experience in communication and customer service Excellent written and drafting skills Recognise the importance of attention to detail and time management Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to multi-task Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment A willingness to learn Proactive approach and initiative What next?
