Your Opportunity
Primero is seeking experienced, motivated individuals for Miralga Creek – Crushing & Screening in a Maintenance Planner role.
Working on our PGX-1000 Crushing Plant, the Planner will ensure the work management processes are fit for purpose and backed by the effective use of the CMMS to drive continuous improvement of standard work approaches and increases in efficiency in how we deliver daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance activities.
Your Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule work and monitor work progress within the plant maintenance team.
Ensure daily management and communication of work schedules, progress, and delays in accordance with the weekly schedule.
Ensure all equipment is maintained/scheduled and resourced within the manufacturers’ specifications.
Perform detailed weekly planning meetings and effective communication regarding work progress, emerging issues, and priorities.
Raise work orders in the maintenance management system “MEX” and action required work.
Manage the planning workflow for maintenance of the fixed and site ancillary equipment to ensure service meets the requirements of the business units.
Ensure returned CMMS work orders and other daily paperwork is completed to the correct standard and address accordingly.
Actively work to minimise plant downtime by ensuring high quality work plans are implemented and adhered to.
Establish, improve, and monitor work standards as well as provide technical advice and assistance to the team.
Contribute on changes to plant and equipment design from the maintenance point of view.
Review design changes to existing equipment to reduce maintenance costs or improve production capacity; and
Shutdown Planning delivered on schedule and within budget
What You ‘Can Do’
Substantial post trade or engineering experience in a similar position in the mining industry, along with a well-established experience as a maintenance planner.
Extensive knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling processes
Microsoft Project & Excel – advanced skill level.
CMMS Proficiency – Pronto, MEX, SAP etc.
Strong technical expertise and extensive experience working with fixed plant and mobile equipment.
Proven ability to motivate and influence workshop team members.
Excellent communication skills at all levels from management to subordinates.
High levels of time management skills and ability to prioritise workload.
Extensive and demonstrable experience in implementing and improving preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
Proven track record sustaining high levels of compliance to proactive scheduled work; and
Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Self-starter capable of working independently or within a team environment collaboratively
