Project Controls Specialist Location: Brisbane / Rockhampton Remuneration/Benefit: Negotiable plus bonus About the role: This is a newly created opportunity for a Project Controls Specialist looking to diversify their resume!This exciting role sits within our Network Project Team reporting into the Project Controls Manager.As the Project Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for managing project costs (budgets, actuals and forecasts), identifying cost and schedule risks, managing change and progress, co-ordinating effectively across a multi-disciplined team and delivering project status reports to Project Managers and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, you will: Update and analyse project cost data including budgets, actual costs and forecasts, and prepare detailed cost reports to ensure projects remain within financial guidelines. Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules including fully resourced loaded activities, critical path methodology, and logically linked tasks. Track, monitor, measure, and report on the progress of the project throughout its entire lifestyle using Earned Value Analysis techniques. Implement and oversee project control processes such as change management procedures to manage project scope, schedule, and costs effectively. Facilitate risk management activities, identifying and reporting on potential cost and schedule risks and advising on mitigation strategies. Coordinate and collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status and performance metrics. Establish and maintain project documentation and records. In respects to the technicalities, you'll need: Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Finance, Engineering, and/or Construction Management, would be preferred. High level of skill and proven extensive experience in project controls or related roles. Well-developed communication and time management skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Experience utilising Primavera P6 or a project planning software. Experience using SAP. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience and knowledge of railway and infrastructure projects, preferred.
