AWS Developer Intern (Hybrid)Job Summary:As a AWS Developer Intern, you will undergo training within the dynamic AWS cloud environment, engaging with cloud development tools and embracing agile practices.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team of developers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with developers, architects, and project managers, gaining valuable insights into the practices, processes, and technologies essential for a successful transition from intern to software developer.Our development initiatives primarily focus on interfaces between critical IT applications, employing AWS services, Node.js, AWS Lambda, and Step functions. Familiarity with tools such as Github, Confluence, CI/CD, and JIRA is effective but not mandatory.Responsibilities:Develop integrations utilizing AWS services like Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS), Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS), and AWS Lambda, adhering to an asynchronous publish and subscribe model.Implement established integration patterns.Create and maintain event-driven solutions using Node.js.Rigorously unit test all components developed.Implement robust error handling and alerting in alignment with generalized development standards.Troubleshoot and debug integration issues, implementing scalable solutions to enhance performance.Implement data validation, transformation, and normalization processes to ensure conformity with the canonical data model and compatibility across integrated systems.Basic Qualifications:Currently enrolled, second-year student, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Anticipated graduation date: May 2027.Development experience in building Java applications.Proficiency in working within a team setting using agile methodologies.Demonstrated diverse technical skills supporting the overall development lifecycle.Strong background in math, science, or music.Experience with Node.js or JavaScript.Familiarity with AWS services, especially SNS, SQS, and Lambda, is a plus.Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug integration issues.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Eagerness to learn new technologies and pursue an AWS Developer Certification.Work Environment:Hybrid: open to candidates in the Dallas, TX and Cleveland/Akron, OH areas.This is a part-time (20 hours/week), 12-month internship.
