Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Brunel is working closely with a global, tier 1 EPC company currently delivering a large scale energy project near Melbourne. They are looking to bolster their safety team on-site now that the project is starting to ramp up. The ideal candidate will have worked on large construction projects with a tier 1 EPC company and have experience with a range of plant equipment safety compliance as well as field safety advisory roles and working with unions. Description: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. Developing and implementing safety plans tailored to different projects. Conducting regular site audits to identify and mitigate safety hazards, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions. Having a strong influence on and being able to manage a diverse range of people. Leading safety meetings to foster a culture of safety awareness, discuss concerns, and reinforce safety protocols. Investigating accidents, near-misses, and safety violations, and providing recommendations to prevent future incidents. Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and safety-related communication. Requirements: Minimum 8 years working on large construction projects. Qualification in Health & Safety (min Cert IV WHS), or equivalent. Sound knowledge of VIC WHS legislation. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and build respectful relationships at all levels. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage dynamic workloads. Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
