Responsibilities:
1. Manage a diverse portfolio of claims from inception to finalisation with autonomy and efficiency
2. Provide strategic and technically sound advice to stakeholders, including underwriters and brokers
3. Engage and manage relationships with claimants, solicitors, and other key stakeholders
4. Ensure accurate and timely recording of reserves and claims payments
5. Act as an escalation point for junior claims consultants, providing guidance on complex claims
6. Assist with internal reporting, claims analysis, and large loss review presentations
About you:
1. A tertiary legal degree or legal experience
2. Extensive experience in claims management, particularly in liability and professional indemnity
3. Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally with various stakeholders
4. Proven track record in managing high-stakes claims with strategic insight
5. Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills for handling claims documentation
6. A proactive team player who can work independently and lead by example
