About the Role The Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of specialist domestic and family violence programs. The role involves direct line management, providing support, coaching, and specialist practice advice to the team. Additionally, the Team Leader will collaborate with the Leadership Team to advance practice and represent the organization within the community to ensure an integrated and place-based response to those affected by DFV. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the delivery of domestic and family violence services, ensuring services align with best practices. Supervise, coach, and provide guidance to team members to meet organizational and client needs. Conduct safety and risk assessments, maintain accurate case notes, and ensure client confidentiality. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on relevant legislation and ensure compliance with DFV standards and frameworks. Actively participate in organizational and network meetings, contributing to program development and delivery improvements. Coordinate and supervise human services student placements as required. Ensure a safe and positive work environment by promoting WHS practices and adhering to policies and procedures. Represent the organization professionally and collaborate with external agencies to enhance service delivery. Selection Criteria Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, social sciences, or human services. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the human services sector, with a strong understanding of domestic and family violence. Proven leadership and team management experience, with a background in trauma-informed practice and crisis intervention. Comprehensive understanding of safety planning, DFV risk indicators, and the ability to support First Nations communities with cultural sensitivity. Commitment to the gendered analysis of DFV and alignment with the organization’s values and mission. General Requirements Competent with Microsoft Suite and database management. Current QLD C Class Driver’s License. Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and National Police Check (cost covered by the organization).
