CatholicCare Tasmania is the primary social services agency of the Catholic Church across Tasmania. We have 60 years’ experience delivering a wide range of services and support to improve individual, family and community wellbeing. Our services are available and open to all with a particular focus on families, young people and children.
About the People and Place
Marram Place provides a short-term accommodation and wellbeing program for men aged 18 or older who require assistance to find and keep their own home. The program is funded through Homes Tasmania and is operated by a small and dedicated team employed by CatholicCare Tasmania. The program is one of a number of specialist homelessness services within Tasmania. It is comprised of a purpose-built facility which offers 7 single occupancy ensuite rooms and shared common areas that offers an initial 12 week stay which is extendable if appropriate and required. The site also has one standalone 3 bedroom self-catering and self-contained furnished unit for Men with children.
The Staff at Marram Place currently include 4 passionate and committed individuals who work on a rotating fortnightly 24/7 roster and the role of Coordinator would be Monday – Friday and share in a rotating on-call roster (phone support only).

As Coordinator you will…
* Provide and support the Team to deliver high quality, client focused service delivery utilising contemporary practice approaches including Trauma Informed Care and operating through an approach of advantaged thinking to residents of the facility.
* Often act in the role of ‘Coach’ by providing encouragement and support to help build confidence and capabilities for those who both work and live at Marram Place.
* Take a key role in recruiting, training, supervising and rostering staff.
* Undertake report writing, data collection, actively participate in inter and intra agency meetings and complete a number of administrative tasks to ensure continuous quality improvement.
* Hold a current Working with Vulnerable Persons Registration.
* Hold a current driver’s licence.
The successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications or equivalent and experience in the area of Health, Social or Community Services.
