Machines include:
1. AutoCad and Inventor software
2. EdgeCAM software
3. Ajax Lathe - Siemens Sinumerik 810D
4. Fanuc Lathe – I series
5. DMG Mill - Siemens SInumerik 840D
6. Doosen Mill
7. Anilam Mill - Anilam controller
Maintenance of clean work areas, machines and equipment.
Performance of work in a safe manner in accordance with their responsibilities under the Occupational health and Safety act and local Environmental Policy.
Efficient and proper use, handling and storage, as applicable, of plant, equipment and resources within the workshop.
Quality responsibilities:
8. Progress the working copy of Inspection and Test Plans and ensures that the correct documentation as specified on Inspection and Test Plans and Work Directions are used in performing work.
9. Clarifies any discrepancies or queries in this documentation with the Operations Manager
10. Ensures that all specified records are correctly taken, reviewed, approved and filed.
11. Ensures all measuring and test equipment is correctly handled, correctly stored and is calibrated prior to use. Records use and calibration details onto record sheets.
12. Ensures all lifting equipment is correctly used and prior to use confirms its current inspection status.
13. Ensures all work under their control is properly protected against damage whilst in the workshop. Correctly packages equipment for transport to ensure protection against damage.
Safety and environmental responsibilities:
14. To deal with that which they are capable of for their own health and safety and of others affected by their actions.
15. To align with the Workshop OHS&E procedures and safe work practices.
16. Where personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to control exposure to hazards in the workplace, wear and maintain the PPE as directed or as required in OH&S procedures.
17. Report all hazards which have the potential to lead to an accident.
18. To participate in accident investigation and the resolution of safety problems. (when requested)
19. To participate in training activities aimed at enhancing their skills and raising their safety awareness and to actively participate in all OHS&E programs
What You Bring
20. Appropriate trade qualifications and experience in the overhaul, refurbishment and machining of rotating plant
21. Experience in a similar role in related industries.
