The Operations Manager at MSAC plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth daily operations, exceptional venue presentation and supporting the delivery of world-class events. Reporting to the Senior Venue Manager, you will lead an operational team, oversee the delivery of high-profile events, and cultivate strong stakeholder relationships while upholding safety, risk management and customer service standards.As the Operations Manager at MSAC your primary responsibilities will include:Overseeing daily operations, including event setup, venue presentation and preparation and risk/safety managementLeading and developing a skilled team including Duty Managers and operational staffManaging day to day stakeholder relationships with hirers, sports partners and service providersEnsuring compliance with health, safety, emergency and risk management standardsDriving financial performance through effective budget and expense managementSupporting event planning, delivery, and client relationship managementA bit about you, you bring:Proven leadership and people management experience in operations, preferably in a sporting, event or venue environmentStrong knowledge of health, safety and risk management practicesExceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skillsExperience in event planning, contractor management, and workforce developmentA results-orientation in your leadership with a focus on continuous improvementRequired skills and Qualifications:Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related disciplineCurrent Victorian Working with Children’s Check (Employee)First Aid, CPR and Advanced Resuscitation certificationsVictorian Driver’s LicenseCurrent Working with Children CheckWhy is this a great place to work?You will love working at the State Sports Centres.
